I miss my neighbor
This link leads to a video every living, breathing human being should be required to watch; I had tears in my eyes by the time it was over:

It shows Fred Rogers (creator and star of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood) addressing a US Senate hearing in 1969, regarding funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. It displays not only that mature, intelligent discourse can take place in Congress, but that Mister Rogers was an incredible, eloquent, genius of a human being.

I am choked up even writing these words. We so sorely need a Mister Rogers today.

I cringe to think that Fred ("God Hates Fags") Phelps told his inbred, mouth-breathing, spawn of Satan congregation upon Fred Rogers' death that Rogers was burning in hell. I grew up with Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, and--laugh if you will--I feel I am the better person for it today.

We miss you, Mister Rogers.

Too bad, I've never watched Mr. Rogers. I was more into Sesame Street.

i grew up with it also, and couldn't agree more :)

That would have been so awesome. I am officially jealous.

Did he wear a sweater and low-rise sneakers? o(:o)

I'm positive that Mister Rogers and Bob Ross are sharing a spot in Heaven. Those two men were the calmest, most peaceful people I've ever known. I can't possibly imagine them being hated by ANYone for ANY reason.

Hee! I can imagine Bob passing a fatty to Fred, telling him, "take a toke, my friend...you'll see those happy trees." o(:o)
