Furry Drama Critical Mass in 3...2...1...
I don't know whose idea it was to have a "most popular" fursuit competition, but this seems more or less guaranteed to piss off everyone involved.

EDIT: Turns out this brain fart was cooked up by a fur (who on this LJ shall forever remain nameless) who a) is gay but closeted, b) is therefore pretty strongly homophobic, and c) thinks Ann Coulter is a hero. This person also loves stirring things up just to stir them up--no real point needed.

Woof. 'nuff said.

Woof. 'nuff said.

I completely agree. Woof says it all. :3 *slurp*

*snugs and return-slurps a Baysonwuffie* o(:o)

hopefully enough people will step away and ignore it that we call all just let this die in the mire.

I though exile had disappeared in a puff of ignominy ages ago...

It is probably his level of irrelevancy that prompted him to stir up this current hornet's nest.

you'd think most furs by now would know not to poke the crazy

Heh...do not taunt Happy Fun Ball. o(:o)

but if i don't get to taunt it someone else will!!!

I don't know exactly what could go wrong here, but knowing the way these "events" often work out with the right nudgings here and there, it'll probably blow up.

There are no criteria for judging at all; it is strictly a nomination-and-vote process.

A very good friend of mine has withdrawn his fursuits from this competition, and he is already catching negative feedback about it.

This "contest" is a disaster in the making.

And from what I see, others are catching flack for noting the lack of detail on the seeding process, some for concerns over the visibily of votes during the process, and still more for questioning the motives of the whole thing.

He'll get what's coming to him, one way or another.

Couldn't happen to a better idjit.

Bump it up to red, buddy; folks are drama-llama'ing it up on FA, too.

Good god! They've gone plaid!

meh i'll be worried when we the scale goes tartan

Not a bad idea at all. The current "contest" has no concrete criteria; it is no more or no less than a popularity contest, custom-designed to create animosity and hurt feelings.
