That's a bummer; I really enjoyed him...not to mention he broke the ground for Bill Nye the Science Guy and Beakman's World.

But am I the only one who thought he was already dead? O.O

It's sad that he's gone. I really loved his show. Though your not alone on thinking he was already dead. I though he was too.

You're not remotely alone in that, no; his age combined with his sudden disappearance from television in the 1990s led many to believe he'd died. He simply scaled down; up until he became too ill to do so, Don answered every piece of fan mail personally.

He will be missed by at least three generations of nerds, geeks, techies, and science junkies.

I thought the same thing you did when I saw that news. I thought he died a few years ago...

He was ancient when I was a kid 16 years back. MAN.
